Do parents need a smartphone?
No. Parents with smartphones use the Ecole app. Everyone else gets SMS alerts and can pay fees with MoMo using their child’s payment reference. USSD access is on our roadmap.
What happens to the money parents pay?
Payments are processed by a Bank of Ghana–licensed payment partner. Ecole records each payment against the right invoice and issues the receipt. We never store card details.
We already have records in Excel. Do we start from scratch?
No. Send us your spreadsheets and our onboarding team does the first import of students, guardians, staff, subjects and opening fee balances with you.
What if the internet goes off during registers or score entry?
Attendance and score entry work fully offline in the mobile app and sync when the connection comes back. The app is designed to run on 3G.
Does Ecole follow the GES curriculum?
Yes. The Standards-Based Curriculum and Common Core Programme are pre-loaded from strand to indicator, and each school can adjust them.
Can we turn off class positions?
Yes. Positions and rankings are optional, per school. Grades, remarks and averages work either way.
Who owns our school’s data?
Your school does. We never sell data, never show adverts, and keep students’ data to the minimum the school needs.
